Bio: Build N Bloom is a mobile and community-based counselling service supporting children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families through play-based, creative and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. Founded by ACA-registered counsellor and LEGO®-based therapy facilitator Simone Whalley, Build N Bloom provides flexible therapeutic support across schools, specialist education, private therapy, home and community settings. Simone has extensive experience working with children, young people and families with complex needs, including within Child Safety and out-of-home care, youth justice and young offender services, alcohol and other drug (AOD) services, domestic and family violence (DFV), residential care and community-based programs. She also works closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen connection, repair relationships, better understand their child or young person's needs, and create safer and more supportive family relationships. Build N Bloom incorporates LEGO®-based therapeutic approaches and Brick Clubs alongside counselling to support communication, social connection, emotional regulation, confidence, problem-solving and relationship development. Services are available across Brisbane, Bayside/Redlands and Logan, with outreach to other areas considered.
