Bio: I am a Teaching Assistant at Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, where I have worked since January 2024. Having supported children across Reception to Year 6, my work has developed into a particular focus on SEND, inclusion, pastoral support and helping children overcome barriers to learning. I have a strong interest in understanding the individual needs of children and finding practical, creative and compassionate ways to help them feel safe, understood and able to succeed. I have experience supporting children with a range of additional needs and have completed Makaton Levels 1–4 alongside a range of SEND and specialist training. I am also involved in Early Support, working alongside colleagues and families to identify needs early and help put appropriate support in place. Alongside my direct work with children, I contribute to a wide range of whole-school projects and initiatives. These have included developing the school’s new website and improving how information, support and opportunities are communicated to families, as well as contributing to work around SEND provision, pastoral support, transitions, school communications, fundraising, enrichment and wider school development. I particularly enjoy bringing ideas together, turning them into practical projects and finding ways to make a positive difference to children, families and staff. I am passionate about creating an inclusive school community where children are recognised as individuals, their strengths are celebrated and they are given the right support and opportunities to reach their potential.
